Spring Inspiration

Images source on Pinterest

It may still be a little too early to think about the spring time but since I got a Pinterest account the only thing I want to do is pin, pin, pin. So I've started with some style inspirations, clothing pieces and colors I would like to try out. I'm not very adventurous with my clothing choices but I would like to spice it up a bit for example trying to add pastel colors especially soft pink and corals. Maybe I'll experiment more with prints like grid print. I've seen this print everywhere for the last few months! I really like it, the symmetric lines makes it look very nice and clean. I think it would be a great piece to have, either be a dress, shirt or trousers, to add something interesting when things get boring. There are a few other things I would like to try out but I'm still not too sure, but in my dreams I would like to wear a tulle skirt, round sunglasses and gold jewelry. These things are way out of my comfort zone but I love how they look on other people. Maybe I need I little bit of courage.

Have a lovely week!

Sunday | Time to Pamper

Happy Sunday! I'm now 'prepping myself' for the new week full of uni work. Finals are here, what a joy! It really is because that means summer is near and I'm really excited about that. But for today, I'm just going to enjoy a little relaxing time with some reading, look for inspiration, do a much needed deep cleansing for my face and take care of my chipped nails. And last but not least, put on my favorite perfume of the moment Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche. It was a birthday gift from my mommy and It smells so nice, a very spring/summer scent.  I don't usually wear perfume just to stay at home but once in a while is kind of fun. The only thing needed here is a frozen yogurt, I would like that very much.

I hope you're having a nice day!
Oh!! &
May the Fourth be with you! haha

Don't strive to be better than others; strive to be better than your best self.

“The way to gain a good reputation is to endeavor to be what you desire to appear.”- Socrates

Scrolling through old photos in my phone I came upon this quote, which I saved it for a reason. I'm very glad I did because it's something that I need to constantly remind myself. Don't worry, I'm not going to get too "deep" and serious in here. I like this blog to have a positive atmosphere, but I thought I might share it because maybe someone out there, just like me, needs to be reminded of how important you really are and never hide to be yourself. I think it's okay to have role models to look up to, but never forget that we all different individuals with the potential to do great things and be our own person. It's a little difficult when society wants something from you or people telling you how you must live your life. And again, that can be good but sometimes I feel like I can 'lose myself'. This is only a small reflection that I had this morning - try to do your best, do the things you love and truly care about and never give up

{Dreaming} I would like to be outdoors in the nature, where there is green grass, feel the warmth from the sun and later at night look at the sky and appreciate the light and forms of the stars. It makes me feel at peace in those moments when I realize how tiny I am in this universe.

Thank you for reading & have a nice Tuesday!

"Fun is good"

I don't know about you, but I adore Dr. Seuss quotes! They are always fun and silly and at the same time I think they say the truth. Anyway, I didn't know how to call this post "Favorites"? "Things I'm loving"? I'm not very good at naming posts so why not use a fun quote. This is just to share links of things that I'm liking and maybe you can check them out and enjoy.

  • See those Polaroids? Well, they're not "real" polaroids of course, I don't own a polaroid camera...yet. I made those thanks to Dana from Wonder Forest. Chech her post here, it's really fun, easy instructions to follow and they look so cute!
  • Have a sweet tooth and have no clue where to find new recipes? I found this blog last year called Lemon Sugar, I was looking for a cupcakes recipe for my birthday and found this one that I used - chocolate raspberry filled cupcakes & o-m-g how amazing they tasted!
  • Have an obsession with candles, like me? I've mentioned this before but hey! why not again! B&BW Red Velvet Cupcake Candle is just too good, I'm impressed and I want another one.
  • If I had money to spent I would in this online shop, everything just looks so cute!
  • And lately this is the song I'm listening to everyday to help me relax, amazing song by Hillsong United
Hope you liked this post!

I don't want to be interesting. I want to be good.

Oh, look at me trying to get out of my comfort zone! This is typically how I look when I wake up early in the morning and have time to put myself together in time for class. Just something simple with pieces I can use with other outfits and colors that can match with anything. And of course, the most important thing being comfortable! Most of the time I wear sneakers because sometimes I actually do need to run to move around to get to my classes on time. A fishtail braid because I didn't know what more to do with my hair which is getting too long and messy. Lately I've been using a lot of white...I don't know if it's because of the weather and time changing or just because it's time to change a bit my usually all black/gray outfits.

Have a fun weekend!

Sunny Sunday

Since my birthday was on a Sunday, I decided to go out and celebrate with my family. What an amazing luck we had that it was very sunny and warm to go outside and take a walk...because that what we did all afternoon. We went to a few 'tourist' or very well known places of the city to take photographs and look around in the shops. At the end we ended up at the beach and thought "Why we didn't bring bathing suits?" For next time! But we refreshed with ice cream, water and bubble tea. First time trying the bubble tea and loved it! I tried a Honey Lemon Black Tea with boba and it was very nice, refreshing. And forgive my awkward photo 'self', tried to do an 'outfit of the day' but as you can see I failed... (not used to being in front of the camera!).

Hope you're enjoying your week!

It is almost impossible to watch a sunset and not dream

Recently, this is how most of my rides to home from uni looks like - watching the sunset with a clear sky. It's been a while it looked this beautiful, winter weather is always cloudy or raining. I like how  we're getting earlier sunrises and late sunsets. Preparing myself for the spring/summer weather! Hope you're having a lovely weekend and hopefully warm weather and enchanting sunsets.

Baking Red Velvet Cupcakes In My Room

Waking up early can have it's benefits and I like it even though is pretty difficult to leave the bed on a cold morning. But I've done so much - I studied for my exams for this week, finished (finally!) reading The Hobbit (and I loved it! It's now one of my favorites!), started reading Divergent by Veronica Roth (since the movie is coming out soon and I know my friend is going to make me watch it), made some arrangements in my room, for been in a hurry dropped one of my beloved Starbucks mugs to the floor (and you can see the results above), tried a Clinique nail polish (and I'm kind of impressed....) and now I'm here writing this...ta-da! Uff! I could say it was a pretty nice Sunday. Now I'm off to relax. Oh, and I'm burning a new candle which it's awesome and it really does smells as if I'm baking red velvet cupcakes in my room! I need to stop buying candles.

Hope you had a nice weekend!
& have a nice week! (don't let Monday ruin your week!)

Inspiring Spring Summer Looks

Even thought I enjoy fashion and don't always follow the "rules" in wearing whats "in season" (I just go along with things I feel comfortable and looks good on me), but I get really excited when seasons change because somehow that change translate too into how I dress. I always prefer fall/autumn clothing...you know sweaters, leggings, scarfs, beanies. As you can see in the pretty pictures above, I have just discovered a new designer called Betina Lou and I'm in love with the Spring Summer and Fall-Winter 2014 lookbooks. Everything looks so well put together, so simple and yet inspiring and interesting. I'm already a fan from what I've seen on their site. Now I just need to make a wish-list and hopefully soon will go out and buy some things I need (like dresses and skirts for the spring - but maybe that wont happen and I will end up buying more books, mugs and coffee haha).

Happy Valentine's Day!

Whether you're celebrating with your special someone 'Valentine', friends, family, or even pets...I hope you're having a fun, loving Valentine's Day!

I'm going to spend my day at home with my family watching movies, eating lots of strawberries with Nutella, going to have a special meal later today (lasagna!) and maybe then curl up in bed to read. I wish I could see my friends today, but that's what happen when we study so far away from each other. Oh, and I'm loving my pink nails! You know I painted them for the occasion, I was between red or pink. Decided to go with a pale, soft pink even if it's not my style I love it.

You can cut all the flowers but you cannot keep Spring from coming.

I'm starting to accept that spring is around the corner! First flowers of the year thanks to my lovely mom who found these and bought them for me. It was really funny because I was going to ask her "Where can I find tulips around here?", I wanted to decorate my dorm-room with flowers to make it look 'spring ready' especially for this week (you know, Valentine's Day). So I was really happy when she gave me these this morning! I hope they last for a while, going to try to take very good care of them.

Hope you are having a lovely Sunday!
