So I need to start this post by stating that I'm not whatsoever a beauty expert or a beauty guru. This is just to show how much makeup you can survive with while traveling without taking your whole makeup collection. I know it's something we all might struggle with leaving things behind because of the "what if..." or the "just in case". Living away from home as a college student and four years living in a small room sharing it with a roommate has teached me ways to differentiate between the stuff that I do really need from the stuff that just takes up space. So here we go...

Let's talk about makeup
It's been a while since I've talked about makeup. The reasons why is because I'm not very good at giving reviews and second, I'm not a a professional or 'beauty guru'. But since summer I've been having a few purchases and this is what I've been loving so far. Like really, I use all of this daily (except when I stay at home)! I'll start with the eyeshadows, for a while I've wanted to spent a little bit of money in good quality eyeshadows so I went to Sephora and got the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette. I'll be honest the price made my credit card cry a little but so far I think the money was worth it. A really good starting palette and if you like natural colors. And my latest addiction is the Maybelline Color Tattoo, I have the Bad to the Bronze and this is really good. I was a little hesitant since is a cream eyeshadow and I have oily/combination skin so I though this will be awful and smudge all around my eyes. But it doesn't! And this will last me for a while since they are really pigmented. Gotta have the rest for sure!
For the lips, I really need lip balms in my life since my lips chapped so quickly so I tried the famous EOS in Raspberry and I'm hooked! They moisturize really good and their cute shape is a plus! The next product is the Revlon lip stain called Just Bitten Kissable in the color Honey. This is my first time trying out lip stain (I'm more of a lipstick girl) and after watching a video from Essiebutton Youtube Channel (love her videos!) I wanted to check them out. Honey is a pretty color to use everyday (which I've done!) and they stay like forever?! Really good if you don't like to touch up every time you eat/drink/etc. The only think I dislike is the minty smell but it doesn't last for long so I don't mind. The other favorite it the Rimmel Lasting Finish lipstick by Kate Moss in 107. At first I thought I didn't need this color since I got a similar one. But oh so glad I did pick this up! Really pretty especially now for F/W time and it does last a lot. The color goes from a very dark burgundy and if you don't touch up it goes slightly pink through they day, which I love.
Last but not least it's the Benefit Watt's Up cream highlighter. This is a sample I've got back in March for my birthday at Sephora but never tried it since I thought "I don't need to highlight my face if I've got an oily face!" but I tried it and if applied the right way it looks really pretty. I mostly use it for the eye area (the corners) and I little bit at the top of my cheeks and instantly I look alive (haha if that makes sence!).
Uff! Done with the rambling! If you've read this far, here have a cookie!
Have a nice weekend!

Sometimes it's fun to be a little daring
A little fact about myself is that I'm a lipsticks kind of girl especially MAC ones. So this wont be a proper review because it's kind obvious that I love this product. I just want to share this with you. I hope you don't mind.
Ok, first. You're not seeing double. These are two different lipsticks. A month ago I did a post about some things I wanted to buy for this fall season and one of them was to find the perfect shade of burgundy lipstick. Since my favorite makeup brand is MAC I went there first and immediately fell in love with the Odyssey one. It can look dark and scary at first but it actually looks good. I love it because you can build the color intensity and that's good if you don't want to go for a very bold look and just want to add a touch of color.
Before deciding I wanted to buy this kind of lipstick I though this look only worked in magazines and in the runway, but you can actually find a way to use it on a daily basis. I like to wear it when the rest of my makeup it's very simple - liner, mascara, and very light blush. Maybe I can do a post in how I do my makeup with this lovely color. I'm sure going to use it for the rest of fall and in the winter. The other one is from L'Bel a brand I've heard before but never used any of their products. This was a lovely and nice gift from my mommy since she knew I was looking for one for some time. I've haven't used it but it looks very nice and gives a more "shimmer" look than the MAC one and I think is a bit less expensive? Not entirely sure. For now it seems I'm good with burgundy lipsticks for some months. ha!
Well yeah, thanks for reading!
I hope you have a nice weekend! :)
Any fun plans?
For now my weekend is just work and study. Surely I will try to do something fun.

Review | Clinique Chubby Stick
Hello lovely readers! I hope you
all had an amazing weekend. For me it flew so fast! So much to do - so little
time. Now it’s the beginning of the week and just so you know - Monday it’s not my favorite day. Ugh! Monday's are soooo long! Oh well, but should make the best out of it, right? (must think positive!!) So here I go with a little
review of my favorite product of the week and maybe it will be my favorite for
all the weeks to come! Ha!
First, here a funny short story
in how I got this: If you notice in the pictures that is not the actual
product. This was given to me as a little gift bag type thing with other
Clinique products with a purchase I made. First time I tried it I didn’t like
it so I just forgot all about it and through it in my make up bag to never use
again. A few weeks ago I found it at the bottom of the ocean of makeup and got
very excited when I saw “Chubby Stick”. What?! I didn’t thought I had one of
this! Anyway, I will finish the “story” there and say that I have enjoyed this
crayon, I mean 'lip colour balm’ very much.
The packaging of the product is
really good even for a test sample. I think the only difference is the size and
the cap, mine is a clear plastic. I love the shape of it because it’s not the typical
lipsticks/balm shape, it actually looks like a crayon and I love to apply this just
to look at it, haha. For the colour this one, I have the 06 ‘Woppin’ Watermelon’,
is not much pigmented it’s a very sheer pink. I think they have others that are
more pigmented, so there is a colour for everyone’s tastes. What I love about
this and why I have been using this all week, besides that beautiful sheer pink
that looks natural on my lips, is because it’s very moisturizing. If you suffer
from very dry lips I think you should check this out. I’m not kidding you, I applied
this in the morning and my lips were still soft even at the afternoon. That doesn’t
happen even with my favorite lip balm. Just in case, the colour can disappear but
it leaves the lips very soft.
I have no idea why I didn’t like
this at first, but now I’m officially hooked. And the sad part is that the one
I have is just a sample. I think I should get the actual product very soon.
Maybe in a more pigmented one. So yeah that will be another one for my list “Thing
to get”. Ohh, well.
See ya later!

Review | Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush™
I’ve seen commercials and printings on
magazine of this product for months and I’ve wanted to buy it since then. Ok, I
confess I just wanted to try it because it said “bouncy”. Haha I was like “what
it’s that?” Plus the colors are very pretty so I gave it a try.
The first
thing we see is the packaging, it is very simple nothing fancy and it’s made of
plastic. I picked the coral color, it’s seems more natural in my skin with my
yellow undertones. I say the actual product is really good for the price. The
price ranges between $5 to $8, I got this one for $6 at Wal-Mart. I think you
may have heard that the consistent is very strange because it’s not cream or
powder, it’s like something in between. It’s very soft when you touch it like a
cream but when you apply it this can feel kind of powdery, if that makes sense
(get it?). To apply it is very simple; I use two fingers and do circle motions
to blend. What I love about this is that it looks very natural on my skin and I
can apply more than one time to add more color and it doesn’t look “cakey”.
If you have
oily skin, like I do, I think you could try this since it doesn’t affect the skin
and it doesn’t add undesired shine (because that’s what we dread to have a very
shiny face). If you are the kind of person who likes very tinted blushes then I
must say don’t expect a lot from this blush. It is very, very sheer/light blush.
It just gives a touch of color for a very natural look, which is something I
like and if you do too then go for it.
The only
things I didn’t like it’s that it doesn’t stay for hours and the “bouncy”. If I
apply it in the morning already by noon it’s completely gone. So it needs to
have retouches. And yes, I’m very disappointed with the bounciness haha, it
looks beautiful at first but from the moment you start to use it doesn’t look
that pretty anymore. Overall, I
really do like the product and I’m even thinking to buy some of their other
colors. I give this blush 8 out of 10.
Have you
tried this blush or planning to buy it?
Thanks for reading!

Cristi's Favorites | Lipsticks
| M.A.C. 'Vegas Volt', 'Creme de la Femme' & 'Shy Girl'. |
I know I’m posting a lot of my favorites. But I’m still
working in some other posts and for now this are the most easily to write. So
sorry if I’m boring you.
Since I consider myself a lipsticks kind of girl, I wanted
to show you my top five (yeah, I know, another ‘top five’) favorite lipsticks.
I have been using these for a few months and some of them for years! After
taking the pictures I realized that most of my favorite’s ones are from the
brand M.A.C. and I’m really sorry. I admit they are very pricey, but they are
worth it. But I buy lipsticks like one or two every few months, so it doesn’t
hurt that much.
So let’s start with my favorite of the summer that I
mentioned in my first post the M.A.C. Vegas Volt. It’s a beautiful bright coral. It can look very bright and scary, but do not worry when you put it on it
looks more soft and creamy. Next one is the Frost ‘Crème de la Femme’ and this
has been my favorite for almost three years. It’s my favorite pink lipstick, it
gives me the perfect rosy lips and I use it a lot during the day. The next one
is the Cremesheen Shy Girl. I use this lipstick daily! I always have it in my
bag because it goes with everything. It’s a beautiful nude color with a hint of
pink. For the next one I wanted to choose something else from a different brand, so I picked this Revlon Raisin Rage. I haven’t used this since January so
I’m very happy Fall is coming so I can use it again. I don’t know if you can
see clearly (sorry for the horrible photo quality) it’s kind of a brown with
a hint of red and it’s really creamy so be careful not to put it in hot places,
it will melt fast. And for last, I know it’s not a lipstick but I wanted to put
it anyway and yes it’s from M.A.C.! It’s called Love Peck from Kissable Lipcolour.
This can last for hours! And what I love is that when you put it on it looks
like a very dark brown but after hours when it starts to wear off it
turn to a fuchsia. It's like magic. I love it and it’s perfect for Fall too!
And that it’s it! I admit I don’t know how to finish a blog post. I will try my best next time.
Well I hope you liked it & have a wonderful day!♥
